This sensor-controlled auxiliary air suspension system from Goldschmitt is installed to supplement the factory rear axle suspension. It consists of flexible air bellows that use compressed air to automatically adjust to the respective rear axle load. In addition, the rear of the vehicle can be raised or lowered manually.
Goldschmitt relies on high-quality complete systems consisting of specially coordinated air bellows and powerful compressors. Thanks to two separate air circuits, the system is able to reliably compensate for one-sided loads.
In contrast to analogue systems, the RHC® system is controlled by automatic level regulation. The control system combines modern sensor technology with intelligent software. Precise level sensors detect the vehicle height in real time and automatically adjust the pressure in the air bellows as required. This keeps the vehicle at the optimum level at all times – even with changing load conditions. Operating errors and impairments to assistance systems are thus reliably minimised. However, manual control is still possible. The compact control unit can be discreetly placed in the driver’s field of vision and blends harmoniously into the interior. In addition, a free smartphone app is available, allowing all functions to be controlled conveniently and intuitively from a mobile device. Workshops also benefit from the plug-and-play design and quick commissioning – for maximum efficiency during installation and servicing.
The app also offers a practical weighing function that allows the rear axle load to be displayed directly. However, availability depends on the vehicle and the available suspension travel.
