Please refer to the standard procedure for returning used batteries: According to the German Batteries Act, which governs the return and disposal of used batteries,
- accumulators and batteries must never be disposed of in normal residual waste.
- batteries containing harmful substances must be returned to a distributor or to collection points set up for this purpose by the public waste management authorities.
MT AGM batteries are state-of-the-art energy stores with a high power density that have been optimised for use in motorhomes. The electrolyte is completely bound in micro glass fibre mats. This and the extremely highly compressed electrode panels made it possible to achieve high storage capacity and minimal attrition with cyclic loading.
They are completely maintenance-free and can be installed anywhere. Even if the casing breaks, no harmful acid can leak out. The self-discharge is extremely low. AGM batteries are slightly more expensive than liquid batteries, but that is compensated especially if the RV battery is often loaded cyclically (which is almost inevitable with today's on-board power consumers). They are generally cleared for interior spaces.
