The DESOLYT® Compact One IQ Sense offers a chemical-free and environmentally friendly solution for fresh water disinfection in motorhomes, caravans and boats.
When a tap is opened in the vehicle, the LED is activated immediately and the water flowing through is disinfected. The addition of disinfectant or further microbiological filters is no longer necessary.
An integrated UV sensor monitors the UV light intensity and thus the disinfection performance. If the disinfection performance drops, an optical and acoustic signal is given.
The DESOLYT® Compact One IQ Sense units are equipped with microprocessor control. This monitors the 12 V input voltage, supplies the electronics with regulated 12 V independently of the on-board voltage, measures their current consumption and temperature and also records the operating hours and much more. It gives visual and acoustic signals with error causes (flashing codes), which can be displayed anywhere in the vehicle using the optionally available remote display.
The unit can be operated with all 12 V pumps available on the market (including electronically controlled pressure pumps).
It works purely physically without changing the taste of the water. While water is being drawn from the tank, any germs that may be present are inactivated in the flow-through process by exposure to ultraviolet light. This process is recognised as effective and is also used by municipal water suppliers, for example.
The special LEDs are only activated when the pump is running. This means that the power consumption is negligible.
In contrast to many conventional UV lamps, the DESOLYT Compact ONE IQ Sense does not contain any heavy metals, such as mercury. It can be self-installed and functions maintenance-free after installation. Suitable for retrofitting in almost any motorhome with a submersible or pressure pump.
Operation of the DESOLYT® units requires a stable DC voltage supply. The supply voltage must be within the limits specified in the respective unit specification. Trouble-free operation is ensured with 12 V systems that have a battery, e.g. in almost all motorhomes as well as in caravans with a self-sufficient package.
Please note: Operation on unregulated power supply units, as sometimes used in caravans without a self-sufficient package (permanent camping, no 12 V battery), leads to malfunctions.
The water is only disinfected after it has been removed from the tank. We therefore recommend regular disinfection of the water tank, preferably with BIOLYSAN tank cleaner, and decalcification for safe operation.
