Equipped with a mounting frame made of corrosion-protected steel (Single Steps) or aluminium (Double Steps), the tread and side panels of the step are made of anodised aluminium, the edges and angles are rounded. The end caps are made of black plastic. All steps provide Anti-Slip step treads, these can be exchanged easily with older versions. With the electric version, engine and gears are stored in a box made of impact-resistant plastic.
Thule Step electric 12 V Step is operated with a switch, the extracting and retracting with a 12 V motor.
