Fittings with conical external thread R for cylindrical internal thread Rp may only be screwed into components made of sufficiently ductile materials (e.g. steel, brass or aluminium).
When assembling a cutting ring fitting with copper or aluminium pipe, always use a reinforcing sleeve! For aluminium pipes, use a reinforcing sleeve made of steel!
