Many Euro 5 and almost all Euro 6 vehicles are equipped with an intelligent alternator. In these vehicles, the function of 12 V isolating relays and D+ simulators is only partially or no longer possible. To ensure charging of the RV battery/batteries, a charging booster or BCB must be installed.
After the engine is turned off, the relay separates the starter battery from the RV battery. The relay is controlled via the D+ signal from the alternator or the D+ simulator. Diode protection for the alternator is already integrated. Switching current (max.) 70 A.
