TOP-RAIL® was developed by BRANDRUP in 1992 and was the first system for vehicles without a standard rain gutter. The proven combination of rain gutter and attachment option for awnings and canvas awnings is also available for the VW T4. Rainwater is reliably diverted over the windscreen – even with an awning attached.
The TOP-RAIL® can be mounted on both sides of the vehicle and protects windows and doors from running rainwater. Thanks to the special profile shape, awnings and canvas awnings can be securely attached with clamping rods without the need for additional adapters. When mounted on both sides, driving wind noise is also reduced, especially on vehicles with a pop-top.
Another advantage of the TOP-RAIL® VW T4 is the possibility of attaching suitable roof racks with rain gutter support feet. With correct installation, roof loads of up to 100 kg are possible, even on vehicles with a pop-top. The prerequisite is that the original TOP-RAIL® is mounted on both sides of the vehicle. For vehicles with a flat roof, carrier feet with a height of approx. 14 cm are provided; for pop-tops, the height is approx. 20 cm.
The TOP-RAIL® VW T4 is specially designed for the VW T4 and offers a practical combination of rainwater protection, awning attachment and roof rack mounting.
