What can boilerCONTROL do?
Control and configuration
The device allows switching the boiler on and off as well as configuring various heating parameters:
- Heating mode: continuous or one-time
- Maximum heating duration: up to 180 minutes
- Temperature limit thanks to integrated temperature sensor
- Control via web browser – no app required
- Remote access via a router with VPN function – control from anywhere in the world
- Can operate as its own access point or be integrated into an existing Wi-Fi network
Local control
Operation is also possible via physical buttons (up to 3) with LED indicators for status display.
A button press can trigger the following:
- One-time heating
- Timed heating for a previously defined duration
Full control is also possible without buttons – exclusively via smartphone.
Flexible technical options
- Power supply: 12 V or 24 V
- Support for up to 2 heating rods with voltages of 12 V/24 V/230 V (mixed combinations also possible)
- 4 independent relays – versatile usage:
- Relay 1 – main heating element, with adjustable cut-off voltage (e.g. for battery protection)
- Relay 2 – e.g. second heating element
- Relay 3 – e.g. activation of heating
- Relay 4 – e.g. awning lighting (controllable only via smartphone)
All relays can be individually named in the menu – for easy identification in everyday use.
Integration with PV systems and battery systems
The device features an external signal input. This enables the following functions:
- Automatic switching on of the boiler when the batteries are full
- Use of surplus energy from the photovoltaic system
Who is boilerCONTROL suitable for?
- Owners of Pundmann boilers, motorhomes, caravans, holiday homes and off-grid systems
- Anyone who wants to maximise the energy use of their PV system
- Anyone looking for an intelligent, flexible and remotely controllable solution for hot water management
