The integrated flame failure device for each burner ensures that the gas supply is interrupted as soon as the flame goes out, e.g. due to a draught. This safety feature should not be missing on gas-powered appliances and is for your own safety.
When purchasing mobile gas appliances of any kind, please note that gas connections with hose clamps are not permitted in Germany. The gas connection must be made using a screw connection. A threaded connection with a union nut is common there.
