Thule Awning Adapters
Adapters are divided into two categories and three types of vehicles: caravans, motorhomes and vans. When choosing the right adapter, it is important to determine whether the awning in question is a wall-mounted model – which is fitted to the side of the vehicle using a wall adapter – or a roof-mounted awning, which is installed lying flat on the vehicle roof using a roof adapter. Some adapters are even designed specifically for certain vehicle models. For best results, installation should be carried out by a professional workshop that can assess how the adapter should be mounted. This helps to avoid problems later on when adding awning accessories. Awnings should always be installed behind the articulated arm brackets to prevent the awning from warping or twisting during use.
Recommended in additon to the mounting sets to securely mount awnings of 5 m and up in length. Is positioned directly underneath the gear mechanism as reinforcement.
