Product description

PowerPack Basic can be installed parallel to any existing basic electronics in any caravan or camper. If connected to the grid (230 V), the BCB 25/20 provides an additional 20 A. While driving, the BCB runs in its booster mode. It switches on if needed, requests 25 A charging current, regulates down to the necessary charging voltage (adjustable to the type of battery used) and charges wet, gel, LiFePO4 or AGM batteries with the ideal IUoU characteristics curve. Constant charging current for "Euro 5" and "Euro 6" vehicles is guaranteed. The battery computer MT iQ Basic included in the set displays the remaining battery capacity and the applied electrical charge.

Easy and quick installation: A high current relay (80 A) and cables are included in the set. Hence, the installation of BCB and battery computer is very easy, even in vehicles with pre-installed electronic block (EBL).

Scope of delivery: MT BCB 25/20; MT iQ Basic; BCB cable set; high-current relay 12 V 80 A; cable set iQ Basic; surface-mounted housing, cable connector, mounting base.

The on-board electronics in recreational vehicles are rarely optimally equipped ex works. The installation of consumers that increase travel comfort also increases the energy requirement. High-quality batteries are usually installed ex works, but they cannot reach their optimum capacity due to insufficient or incorrect charging. At the socket as well as during the journey, the charging capacity is often very low. Moreover, in many "Euro 5" and "Euro 6" vehicles, battery charging is temporarily stopped completely. These problems are solved by the PowerPacks by Büttner Elektronik. They can be connected as the sole charging centre, but also in parallel to the existing on-board electronics and take over the optimal charging. Thus, reliable charging power (25 A; 30 A; 40 A) is always available on the 230 V mains as well as when the alternator charge drops. All PowerPack systems are equipped with a battery computer that indicates how much capacity is still available. The system is optimally supplemented by a solar system to ensure recharging even when the vehicle is stationary.

Installation

PowerPack Basic and PowerPack Classic I and II are equipped with a high-current relay (12 V; 80 A) and can also be easily integrated into standard vehicles with EBL. PowerPack Classic Power + Classic Power Plus are supplied without a relay, as the very powerful BCBs can also be used as the sole main charging centre for DIY or van conversions. If PowerPack Classic Power + Classic Power Plus are to be integrated into an existing system in parallel, please order high-current relays (80 A) separately.

Decision aid

PowerPack Basic is ideal for solar system newcomers. The BCB 25/20 acts like a booster (25 A) while driving and provides an additional charging current of 20 A at 230 V mains. If you are looking for a way to charge your battery with additional solar power, the PowerPack Classic I is your device! Easy to install and reliable information on the remaining battery capacity. With the PowerPack Classic I, it is also possible to charge the battery via solar power. It is sufficient to compensate for standard energy consumers as well as TV/Sat without any additional power supply between spring and autumn. For doubled solar power, the PowerPack Classic II should be your choice! The PowerPack Classic Power provides more charging power on shore power and in driving mode. It ensures a quick charge if connected to the 230 V mains or in its booster mode. If you need to charge battery capacities over 200 Ah or LiFePO4 batteries quickly, the PowerPack Classic Power Plus is ideal. The only thing left to consider is how much solar power is needed, whereby experience shows that with a higher battery capacity there are also more power consumers on board and a solar power of 220 Wp or 340 Wp is then a good decision.
